Meeting Point Television 2009
During the 2009 edition January 29 – 30, Meeting Point Television took a closer look at multiplatform, crossmedia productions and working processes and production strategies through lectures and presentations of upcoming TV drama serials.

Speakers at Meeting Point Television 2009:
Rosie Allimonos. In cooperation with MediaXchange Ltd NFM is proud proud to introduce the multiplatform commissioning executive in drama and film at BBC Vision. Her specialities include conceptualising, commissioning and implementing original multiplatform formats including user-generated content, massively multiplayer on-line game communities, video on-demand services, interactive drama and animation projects.
Sven Clausen, legendary producer at Danmarks Radio (Ørnen/The Eagle, Krøniken/Better Times). Sven gave a lecture followed by a Q and A in which he described the strategies on which the serials are based and the major steps in the working process: How were the series born? How were they produced?
Christopher Sandberg and Daniel Lägersten presented a case study of the Interactive Emmy Award winner: The Truth About Marika, a co-production between SVT and The Company P. They have also won the SIME08 Award for best Online Entertainment (Scandinavian Interactive Media Event) and International Media Excellence Award for Most Creative Specialist (Association of International Broadcasting).
Anni Faurbye Fernandez, executive producer at Yellowbird, talked about the work with the coming British TV-series about Henning Mankell's Wallander, a co-production for BBC with Kenneth Branagh as Kurt Wallander.
Thomas Seeberg Torjussen, director, (Sønner/Sons), producers Kari Moen Kristiansen and Eric Vogel from Norwegian production company Tordenfilm AS presented the upcoming Norwegian TV-serial Koselig med Peis (Norwegian Cozy), premiering at NRK in 2010.
Mats Björkin, PhD, Senior lecturer in film studies at the University of Gothenburg, presented current research from Europe and North America regarding quality drama and multiplatform content. This research has been made in close co-operation with the television industry and analyzes the changing conditions for drama production, changing habits of the viewers, and new platforms.
