Fund film premieres Venice

Göteborg International Film Festival Fund is happy to announce that yet another project supported by the fund will be screening at a big international film festival. On Monday the Peruvian film Paraiso will have its world premiere at the filmfestival in Venice.

Göteborg International Film Festival has for ten years supported film production in developing countries. Only a few weeks ago the Romanian film First of All Felicia was screened in competition at the Sarajevo Film Festival and now yet another film linked to the fund will meet its audience: Paraiso which will be screened in the Orrizonti programme.

Paraiso, which was supported as late as this spring,  is written and directed by Hector Galvez. The film tells the story of  a group of adolescents in Paraiso: a borough in the outskirts of the city of Lima. The film, which is the director’s first, will be screened at Göteborg International Film Festival 2010.
