Magic Bullet in focus

In 2009, GIFF screened the artist Marcus Öhrn's 42-hour film Magic Bullet, which was composed of all the footage cut out of the State Film Censorship. Marcus Öhrn's movie is still up and running and now when there is a suggestion that "Statens Biografbyrå" should be closed his film is more in question then ever. (There is a proposal to replace it with a new authority and a simultaneous elimination of adult censorship) As the issue of filmkonst that was made in connection with the screening on GIFF. In the book Magic Bullet you will find "Biografbyråns" own descriptions of the clips that were removed since the 1930s.
