14.00: Focus: Chile

The death of former dictator Augusto Pinochet in 2006 marked the end of one of the darkest chapters in the nation´s history. And for the last few years Chilean film has had a major revival.
A new generation of filmmakers have emerged with innovative visions. But there are also issues: the cinemas are dominated by films from the US, and the Chilean films have difficulties in being distributed.
The seminar will be held in English.
