Nordic Film Market
Nordic Film Market January 30 – February 2, 2014
Nordic Film Market is an international marketplace and a networking venue for Nordic Feature films and TV drama at Göteborg International Film Festival. This is an excellent opportunity to meet, mingle and interact with international and Nordic film industry professionals. Nordic Film Market’s aim is to strengthen the position of Nordic films and provide a solid platform for financing and distribution worldwide.
At Nordic Film Market invited buyers, distributors, sales agents and festival programmers from all over the world get an exclusive opportunity to see new and up-coming films. The programme consists of approximately 35 titles. Nordic Film Market accredited guests also have access to all other films in the festival programme.
In 2013, 17 features and 16 works in progress and 9 projects in our new section Nordic Film Lab Discovery were presented at Nordic Film Market. Among the titles just coming out in 2013 at Nordic Film Market were Danish directors Annette K Olesen’s Skytten (The Shooter), Michael Noer’s Nordvest (Northwest), Finnish director Simo Halinen’s Kerron sinulle kaiken (Open Up to Me), Swedish director Fredrik Edfelt’s, Faro (Sanctuary) and Norwegian director Hisham Zaman’s Før snøen faller (Before Snowfall). The whole programme and updated guest list is available to download on the righthand side of this page.
New for the 2013 programme was Nordic Film Lab Discovery on February 1, where previous participants from our acclaimed talent lab from Denmark, Norway and Sweden will present themselves and their upcoming projects.
Industry seminars and Industry accreditations 2013
All guests with a VIP, Industry or Nordic Film Market accreditation are welcome to our high profile seminars at Nordic Film Market and are offered a reduced price on the international TV Drama Day, TV Drama Vision. The seminars we run this year are How To Double Revenues...By Understanding Audiences on February 1, The Changing Face of TV Journalism on February 2, and our full seminar day TV Drama Vision on January 31.
We recommend industry in general to apply for an Industry accreditation, which will give you access to around 50 seminars, master classes, works in progress and all films in the festival programme. In addition you are welcome to attend our press screenings and the seminars at Nordic Film Market. To gain access to screenings and works in progress at Nordic Film Market, a full market access accreditation is needed. We have a limited number to offer to festival programmers, buyers and sales agents.
The accreditation for the 2013 festival is now closed.
