THE GÖTEBORG BALLET AT THE PARTY
One new feature at this year's opening party at Clarion is the world class modern dance performance of a duet from OreloB. OreloB is a dance piece created specifically for The Göteborg Ballet by Kenneth Kvarnström, former director of Dansens Hus in Stockholm. The costumes are designed by celebrated fashion designer Helena Hörstedt. The music is composed by Jukka Rintamäki from Silverbullit.
This performance is arranged by The Göteborg Ballet at The Göteborg Opera, one of Europe's most attractive contemporary dance companies - a chameleon that constantly manages to stay one step ahead of the audience, challenging both them and themselves.
Dancers: Erik Johansson and Janine Koertge from The Göteborg Ballet.

Dragon Awards Gala with afterparty
Sadly, even the film festival has to end. But in keeping with tradition we close with a mighty bang, handing out the Dragon statuettes. Winning a Dragon Award is always a matter of great prestige, but we are of course particularly proud of Dragon Award Best Nordic Film, whose SEK 1,000,000 award sum makes it one of the world's biggest film awards. This year, the award ceremony and gala will take place in the historic mail sorting room at Clarion Hotel Post.
After the awards have met their rightful recipients, we take all the Gala guests to Göteborg's premiere party place, Yaki-Da, the site of this year's legendary afterparty. Here you can dance with the winners and rub shoulders with the cinema elite. With four dance floors and a host of DJs and celebrities, we're in for a memorable party. The DJ booth will, among others, host Alexandra Dahlström, Andrea Reuter featuring Camia, and Nina Natri.
When: February 4
CLOSING PARTY AT YAKI-DA
The swanky suite of rooms housing Yaki-Da will get in line with the Arabic focus of the festival, transforming itself into an oriental temple, courtesy of designer Andrea Marciasini. Gothenburg Film Studio's lighting director Luisa Fanciullacci will set the mood and Yaki-Da will roll out the red carpet for you and your friends. Bring on the belly dancing. Ogle celebs in the DJ booth on the bottom floor or dance up a sweat with old pop hero Bez from Happy Mondays on the first floor. Here you can also enjoy old soul classics in the coffee bar. Continuing upwards, you will find harder dance beats, featuring Maika and others. At the top of the building you can take a break from all of the below, chilling to soft jazz. And perhaps get a bite to eat. The kitchen is open until 4 AM and promises a wide selection of food along the lines of the night's theme.
When: February 4, 10.30 PM
Entrance: SEK 140 (no pre-ordering)
