Press accreditation

Welcome to Scandinavia's leading film festival! During eleven intense days, we screen up to 450 films from about 70 countries. In addition, we also offer a comprehensive festival programme with a wide arrange of seminars, meetings, parties and other industry activities.

Press Service is asking all those accredited to send copies of published material about the Göteborg International Film Festival to the address below as soon as possible after publication. The decision regarding renewal of accreditation is based partly on this material. The festival charges an administrative fee of 250 SEK.

Accreditation includes the following:

All festival films
Once you have been accredited, you have access to all of the festival screenings (subject to availability). We do approximately 700 screenings of 450 films from 70 countries.

Seminars, master classes, and works in progress
The festival has an extensive seminar programme with about 40 debates, master classes, works in progress, discussions and meetings with filmmakers represented at the festival, all open for you to attend.

Industry and press centre
This year, the festival has a new press and industry centre. This is where you collect your accreditation badge. Our staff here offers you support and answers all your questions about the festival. At the press centre you also find spaces for meetings, as well as working sites. Are you looking for a relaxing break? The Industry Lounge and the festival bar are also found here. We will return shortly with more information about the new centre.

Interview bookings
At the press centre, we are happy to help you book interviews with the festival guests. We can also assist you with documents, pictures, trailers etc. More information about the guests attending the festival will be announced well before start.

Swedish industry weekend
During the first festival weekend we focus particularly on Swedish cinema. Over 70 Swedish world previews, a film exhibition, seminars and the Swedish Film Institute day are just a few of the events taking place during these days. The winners of Startsladden short film award, and Best Swedish Novella Film are also announced.

All additional activities
Once accredited, you will have access to most of the activities in addition to the festival, such as talk shows, concerts and other festivities. This year the festival centre is located at Pustervik near Järntorget.

Special press and industry screenings
We arrange special press screenings for those with accreditation. The schedule for these will be sent to you later in January. It will also be available on our website.

Video room
If you can’t attend a certain screening, most of the festival movies are also available for you to watch in our video room. This is located at the press centre.

Nordic Film Market
Nordic Film Market is our international industry platform where the Nordic and international film industry meet up during four intense days. The schedule for Nordic Film Market will be released in January (read more here). If you wish to attend any of the seminars related to Nordic Film Market, please contact the press department.

Industry guide
Once accredited, you will receive a festival guide with a map and schedule of all activities, as well as lists with contact details to all those accredited at the festival and the Nordic Film Market.
