TRYCK + Clandestino
TRYCK is a non-profit organisation for Swedish-African people working in the culture sector, with the aim of highlighting black artists and their situation in Sweden. The TRYCK evening will open with a 4 PM–5 PM seminar followed by the opening of an exhibition (5 PM–8 PM) where TRYCK will introduce a sample from their new catalogue, Blacklist. At 8 PM, it's time for Clandestino Institut and their artists. Amina Hocine is an Algerian singer from Göteborg whose hauntingly beautiful voice and electronic music bring Joy Division and David Lynch movies to mind. DJ Scout Klas a.k.a. Mai Nestor will take us on a progressive journey from cosmic library to jungle, by way of UK funky. We close with D. Wattsriot, a Tenerife-based DJ mixing heavy electronica and hip hop with Iraqi choubi music and Zulu choirs. These, and many others, will create a gloriously eclectic, sweaty night of dancing when Clandestino Agency, Göteborg's new international artist agency, claims Pustervik.
